Give Water, Give Life

Access to clean water is one of the most fundamental human needs — yet millions of people, especially in rural areas of Africa and Asia, continue to suffer from water scarcity. Every day, women and children walk long distances to collect unsafe water from polluted sources. This not only endangers their health but also limits their education and future opportunities.

Through the Water Well Project, the Islamic Education and Cultural Center of Korea Association is dedicated to providing sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water for families in need.

This project is more than just providing water — it is about giving life, health, and dignity to communities that have been deprived of this basic necessity.

The Best Charity is Water

Water is a divine gift, the essence of life. By supporting this project, you become a means for others to live, thrive, and worship Allah with health and gratitude.

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ - “And We made from water every living thing.” (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:30)

أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ سَقْيُ الْمَاءِ - “The best charity is giving water to drink.” (Ahmad, Abu Dawood)

Providing water is considered one of the greatest acts of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) — a charity that continues to benefit you even after you leave this world.

Project Goals

Through building water wells, we transform lives by providing essential clean water, preventing disease, and ensuring eternal rewards for every donor.

  • To build deep or shallow water wells in areas suffering from water scarcity.
  • To provide clean water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene.
  • To prevent water-borne diseases and improve the health of local communities.
  • To ensure continuous Sadaqah Jariyah for donors, as every drop of water becomes a source of ongoing reward.

How the Project Works?

Our association works in cooperation with reliable local partner organizations in the regions where wells are built. Together, we identify the most urgent areas, ensure construction quality, and guarantee that every well serves the community safely and sustainably.

Location Selection

Conducted jointly with local NGOs to identify regions most in need.

Drilling and Construction

Each well is built based on local ground conditions to ensure long-term usability.

Quality Assurance

Equipped with suitable hand pumps or electric systems depending on the community’s infrastructure.

Monitoring

Periodic inspections are carried out to ensure ongoing access to clean water.

Photo and video updates of each water well will be provided to donors after completion. For detailed information, please contact our association directly.
