Hadith of the Week
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اَدِّبُوا اَوْلَادَكُمْ عَلَى ثَلَاثِ خِصَالٍ: حُبُّ نَبِيِّكُمْ وَحُبُّ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَقِرَائَةُ الْقُرْآنِ. (فيض)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Raise your children upon three qualities: Love for your Prophet, love for his Ahl al-Bayt (family), and recitation of the Qur’ān al-Karīm.” (Munāwī Faydh al-Qadīr)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا أَفْصَحَ أَوْلَادُكُمْ فَعَلِّمُوهُمْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ. (كنز)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Teach your children (to say) ‘Lā ilāha illallāh’ when they begin to speak.” (Kanz al-‘Ummāl)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اِقْرَؤُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لِأَصْحَابِهِ. (م)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Recite the Qur’ān al-Karīm, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahīh Muslim)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا خَتَمَ الْعَبْدُ الْقُرْآنَ صَلّٰى عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ خَتْمِهِ سِتُّونَ اَلْفَ مَلَكٍ. (كنز)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “When a servant completes the recitation of the entire Qur’ān al-Karīm, sixty thousand angels seek forgiveness for him.” (Kanz al-‘Ummāl)

عَنْ مُعَاذٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَوْصِنِي قَالَ: اِتَّقِ اللهَ حَيْثُمَا كُنْتَ. (حم)
Narrated from Mu’ādh (radiyallāhu anhu), he said: “O, Prophet of Allāh, give me advice.” Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Fear Allāh wherever you are!” (Musnad Ahmad)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَا أَكْثَرُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ تَبَعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَقْرَعُ بَابَ الْجَنَّةِ. (م)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “On the Day of Qiyāmah, I will have the most followers among the prophets, and I will be the first to knock on the door of Jannah (and enter it).” (Sahīh Muslim)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا يَفْرَكْ مُؤْمِنٌ مُؤْمِنَةً إِنْ كَرِهَ مِنْهَا خُلُقًا رَضِيَ مِنْهَا آخَرَ. (م)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “A believing man should not harbour hatred towards his believing wife. If he dislikes one of her qualities, he may be pleased with another.” (Sahīh Muslim)

عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ: أَمِطِ الْأَذَى عَنْ طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ. (الادب المفرد)
Abū Barzat al-Aslamī (radiyallāhu anhu) said: “I said to Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam): O, Prophet of Allah! Show me an action that will admit me to Jannah, guide me to it.’ He said, ‘Remove harmful things from the paths of people.'” (Bukhārī, al-Adab al-Mufrad)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: طَلَبُ الْعِلْمِ فَرِيضَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ. (هـ)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Seeking knowledge (of Ilm al-Hāl) is compulsory upon every (male and female) Muslim.” (Sunan ibn Mājah)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اِنَّ مَكَارِمَ الْاَخْلَاقِ مِنْ اَعْمَالِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ. (ض)
Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Indeed, good character is among the deeds of the people of Jannah.” (Qudhāī, Shihāb al-Akhbār)
